Cellphone coverage in Lithuania

Post by hannesf » Mon May 13, 2019 10:55 am

Hi there,

i am planning to take the TET in Lithuania this summer, and i am wondering how good the Cellphone coverage is in the countryside?

The reason im asking: Here in germany i usually use a simple phonecall (+helmet headset) for talking to other riders who ride with me. It makes things easy and there is (if the coverage is good) no problem with bluetooth range for example...

So would it be possible to do the same in Lithuania with a EU-Simcard?

Cheers and Thank you already!

There will be no problems with coverage in Lithuania, it is almost everywhere. If only in some very remote place, near the borders, for some +/- 5 to 10 meters maybe connection will be poorer. But no, I am sure, that coverage is more better than in Germany. Never had any problems with that.

You'd be surprised, cell phone coverage and other high tech connection things (internet speed etc) are much better in Eastern Europe since the infrastructure is newer, unlike Western Europe that struggles to get rid off its ancient infrastructure that sometimes dates back to the 60s for some technologies.
