PowerShell Script for splitting gpx tracks into single gpx files

Post by StehtimSchilf » Tue Jul 09, 2019 8:59 am

Hi TETs

I don't know why, but I'm having huge troubles loading the GPX files into Google Earth Desktop Application. I guess it's because of the vast amount of track points.

Therefor I wrote a small quick n dirty PowerShell Script which splits a given TET gpx file into its single track files. Please find attached my initial version with its flaws:
  • it will copy all way-points (not the track points) into every gpx file. As there is no easy option to match the way-points to the tracks yet
  • the 'press any key' command in the las line will throw an error in the Windows PowerShell ISE
  • existing gpx files are overwritten
