Have you played with the Montana settings? Check in setup, system, interface

A workaround if that doesn't work is Just to take the Garmins microSD out and stick it in a card reader

Perhaps this helps:

My device does not go into mass storage mode automatically
If your device is connected to the computer but does not go into mass storage mode automatically, you might have loaded a corrupt file.

Disconnect the device from your computer.
Turn off the device.
Hold Powerbutton while you connect the device to your computer.
Continue holding for 30 seconds or until the device goes into mass storage mode.

Going into settings, what should I be looking for?
I am now uesing the correct leads
When I go into downloads I can send the tet files to the Garmin and it seams to send the file but I can’t find it on the Montana

I have been able to send files to my BMW navigator 5 and found them in tracks . Having converted it to a route it only transfers part of the file
Is there anywhere I can buy these routes on SD cards ready to put in the Montana as I don’t relish the idea of manually plotting them in

Have you had a look at this: https://trail.trf.org.uk/green-road-res ... use-a-gps/

If that's not helpful I think the best thing is to sit down with someone that uses a Montana and go through it. I'm in North Yorkshire of that's nearby.

We're discouraging folk from distributing the track on sd card for the simple reason that when the updates come out you're back in the same fix and all you have is an out of date route. Best to learn the basics.
