How to download TET trail

Post by andy9 » Wed Jan 31, 2018 1:18 pm

Hi All

New to the TET and thanks for adding me.

Would it be possible for someone to make a youtube video detailing how to download the GPX track
to my Mac and then transfer to Micro SD.

Just for us Technophobes.

Many thank in advance

Looks like you're making it all too complicated. You shouldn't even 'see' what a folder is made of unless you're using something like Automator for repetitive tasks ...

I can't make a youtube but try this:

1) Open Basecamp on your Mac

2) Creat a new 'List' and call it TET-Ukraine or wherever you're going

3) Download the file from the TET page and open it rather than save it

4) You should then see it on your Basecamp - if you haven't already open Basecamp it will do it now but save the trail to the last list you used.

5) Give a sexy name like 'Oleksii' :)

5) Plug in your Garmin device and wait for it to appear in Basecamp

6) Select 'Oleksii'

7) On the menu bar go to File -> Export "Oleksii"

8) Have a nice cup of tea!
